John Sisk & Son and D/RES Properties launched Arden, a new venture to build 1,000 social and affordable homes annually. With €32 million from Bank of Ireland, their first project, Foothills in Dublin, will offer 635 homes. This partnership leverages their combined expertise to address Ireland's housing needs.

Irish construction firms John Sisk & Son and D/RES Properties have partnered to form Arden, a new venture aiming to build 1,000 social and affordable homes annually. The initiative has secured an initial €32 million in working capital loans from Bank of Ireland.

Arden will commence selling affordable houses in September at its first project, Foothills in Killinarden, Dublin, which involves building 635 homes. The company plans to collaborate with local councils, approved housing bodies, and the Land Development Agency, and will also bid for land designated for social and affordable housing or develop underused sites owned by various organizations. The venture seeks to develop projects across the Greater Dublin Area and the Republic of Ireland.

John Sisk & Son, a family-owned firm over 165 years old, employs over 3,000 people across Ireland, the UK, and Europe, specializing in construction and engineering. D/RES Properties, led by Patrick and Kevin Durkan, has built over 2,000 homes in the last six years and recently secured €70 million to acquire land for 6,000 new homes.
