Ukraine to Receive Seventh Ukraine Facility Tranche of €2.8 Billion in Early June 2026

Ukraine will receive the seventh tranche of EU financial aid, totaling €2.8 billion, in early June 2026, under the Ukraine Facility mechanism. This sum is based on reforms implemented by Ukraine, covering commitments from 2025 and 2026. Overall, Ukraine has already received €36.8 billion in six tranches.

Ukraine is set to receive the seventh tranche of financial assistance from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility mechanism, amounting to €2.8 billion, in early June 2026. This information was reported by «European Pravda», citing an anonymous EU official familiar with the details of Ukraine's financing processes.

The source told «European Pravda» that the EU Council is currently reviewing a proposal for an implementing decision regarding the provision of the seventh Ukraine Facility tranche to Ukraine. The planned payment of €2.8 billion is based on reforms implemented by Ukraine. Specifically, €1.2 billion of this amount relates to commitments that official Kyiv pledged to fulfill in 2025. For the first quarter of 2026 commitments, Ukraine has completed 11 out of 20 planned steps, which will allow it to receive €1.6 billion.

Overall, under the Ukraine Facility mechanism, Ukraine has already received €36.8 billion in six tranches. This assistance has been provided as budgetary support, humanitarian aid, and other forms of assistance, primarily as loans but also grants. Earlier, European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, stated that Ukraine had met a number of requirements for receiving a new tranche.

It was also reported that a requirement to conduct tax reform would be included in the list of conditions for Ukraine to receive subsequent tranches of macro-financial assistance under the EU's €90 billion loan. In general, the EU is setting stricter reform conditions for Ukraine to receive macro-financial tranches, but Kyiv is resisting some of Brussels' requests.
