Ukrainians with PESEL UKR in Poland can apply for 3-year CUKR residence permits from May 4
From May 4, Ukrainians with PESEL UKR in Poland can apply for 3-year CUKR residence permits. This grants full access to the labor market and Schengen area but revokes UKR status and related benefits. The application costs 340 PLN, and issuance costs 100 PLN.
From May 4, Ukrainian citizens with temporary protection in Poland who have PESEL UKR can apply for a CUKR residence permit, valid for 3 years. Applications are accepted only electronically through the «Case Service Module» portal.
CUKR permits can be obtained by Ukrainian citizens and their family members provided they have legal stay in Poland under temporary protection, possess UKR status on June 4, 2025, on the day of application, and continuously for at least 365 days. The stamp duty for application is 340 PLN, and the fee for issuing the permit is 100 PLN.
The permit grants full access to the labor market without additional work permits, the ability to conduct business in Poland on the same terms as Polish citizens, and the right to travel within the Schengen area for up to 90 days in a 180-day period. The period of stay counts towards the time required for obtaining an EU long-term resident permit. Upon receiving the CUKR permit, the foreigner loses UKR status and associated benefits, including free accommodation and meals.
