Spain: Ukrainians under protection can obtain a residence permit, meeting immigration requirements
The Spanish authorities have confirmed that Ukrainian citizens under temporary protection have the opportunity to switch to other types of residence permits provided for by the country's current immigration legislation.
It is emphasized that this does not involve the introduction of any new, separate program. However, in practice, Ukrainians can already apply for various types of residence permits (VNZh), provided they meet the established requirements.
Among the available grounds for obtaining a residence permit are: a work permit for employees, self-employed status, a residence permit under the law on entrepreneurs, the EU Blue Card for highly qualified specialists, and a digital nomad visa.
In some cases, it is possible to submit documents without having to leave the territory of Spain.
