The Ukrainian Embassy in Italy condemned aggression against people with Ukrainian flags during April 25 celebrations, calling it unacceptable. Diplomats thanked Italy for its support but stressed that violence against Ukraine's supporters is outrageous. Italian media previously reported attacks in Rome requiring police and medical intervention.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Italy has officially stated the unacceptability of aggression and discrimination against individuals displaying Ukrainian flags during the April 25 celebrations. This information was released by the diplomatic mission's press service.

The embassy's statement emphasizes that the Ukrainian flag today symbolizes the struggle for freedom, independence, democracy, and human life amidst Russia's brutal war, which is the largest since World War II. Diplomats expressed deep outrage and complete incomprehension regarding violence against those who oppose the daily killings of innocent people, the deportation of children, and Russia's attempts to destroy an independent state and its people, stressing that such incidents must not recur.

The embassy also extended gratitude to the Italian government and all Italian citizens who support Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in their fight for life and future.

Earlier, Italian media reported attacks on participants carrying Ukrainian flags during the April 25 Liberation Day celebrations in Rome, which required police and medical intervention.
