Aurivo Reports €18.7M Operating Profit in 2025, Anticipates 2026 Volatility

Aurivo, a milk processor, saw operating profits rise to €18.7 million in 2025, despite falling milk prices. It achieved record milk intake of 544 million litres and paid members 55.3 cent/litre. The company expects continued market volatility in 2026 and is partnering with Dale Farm.

Aurivo, the Sligo-headquartered milk processor, reported an almost 10 percent jump in operating profits to €18.7 million in 2025. This occurred despite plummeting milk prices in the second half of the year due to global oversupply.

The co-operative achieved a record operating year with milk intake reaching its highest-ever level of 544 million litres, up 5.3 percent. Aurivo paid an average milk price of 55.3 cent per litre to its approximately 1,000 members in 2025, a 4.4 percent increase from the previous year.

Looking ahead, Aurivo expects challenging trading conditions to persist through 2026, citing softer global dairy markets, input cost pressures, rising compliance costs, and geopolitical uncertainty. The group recently opted against a merger with a larger British co-op, instead pursuing a strategic partnership with Northern Ireland’s Dale Farm for projects like byproduct utilisation and added value protein.
