Spain to Deliver 100 VAMTAC Armored Vehicles and Ammunition to Ukraine; 9,000 Troops Trained

Deliveries of the armored vehicles and ammunition are set to begin in May. According to Robles, the armored vehicles are intended for the needs of Ukrainian border guards. «This cooperation demonstrates our country's commitment to defending democratic values, freedom, and a just and lasting peace,» the Spanish minister stated.
Robles also announced that this month, the number of Ukrainian military personnel who have undergone training in Spain will exceed 9,000 soldiers. As part of her visit to Kyiv, the Spanish Minister of Defense held a series of meetings with Ukrainian government officials to strengthen bilateral cooperation and participated in a flower-laying ceremony in honor of Ukraine's defenders at the Wall of Remembrance on Mykhailivska Square.
It is worth noting that Spain plans to provide military assistance to Ukraine totaling 1 billion euros in 2026.
