Authorities seek Anastasiia Berezovska, 39, a Ukrainian woman, for a Monaco bombing that injured three, including tycoon Vadym Yermolaiev, 58, and his family. German police raided her apartment. Berezovska, wanted for attempted murder, fled through France and Italy, and is believed to have posed as a man.
Authorities are searching for Anastasiia Berezovska, 39, a Ukrainian woman suspected of planting a bomb in Monaco on Monday that injured three people, including Ukrainian-born tycoon Vadym Yermolaiev, 58, his partner, and his 13-year-old son. German police raided her rented apartment in the Frankfurt area yesterday, securing evidence. Berezovska is wanted in Monaco via an Interpol Red Notice for attempted murder, placing an explosive device on a public road with criminal intent, and criminal conspiracy.
Monaco's Deputy Public Prosecutor Morgan Raymond stated Berezovska, whose last known residence was in Germany, fled through France and Italy in a rental car. He noted the suspect, initially believed to be a man due to CCTV footage, was a «woman posing as a man» and may not have acted alone. The explosion occurred in the entrance hall of an apartment building near the French border shortly after an individual left a package. The victims, identified by sources as Yermolaiev, a Cypriot national sanctioned in Ukraine since December 2023 for business activities in annexed Crimea, and his family, sustained serious injuries. Yermolaiev was no longer critical by Wednesday, but his partner's condition remained unstable. The child was in non-critical condition.
Interpol released two photographs of the suspect, described as having dark, shoulder-length hair and a tattoo on her right arm, possibly depicting a snake. She reportedly speaks German. Yermolaiev, estimated by Forbes Ukraine in 2021 to be worth $220 million, has faced animosity, as has his 35-year-old son, Artur Yermolaiev, who was convicted of fraud in Estonia earlier this year for a €100 million phone scam.
