IBRiS Poll: 33.6 % of Poles' Attitudes Towards Ukrainians Worsened After Crisis on June 25–26, 2026
An IBRiS poll revealed that 33.6 % of Poles' attitudes towards Ukrainians worsened due to disputes over the UPA and Zelenskyy's order. The majority (60.7 %) remained unchanged. This poll reflects the current dynamics of Polish-Ukrainian relations.
According to an IBRiS poll for Rzeczpospolita, conducted on June 25–26, 2026, among 1071 respondents, 33.6 % of Poles' attitudes towards Ukrainians have worsened. This is attributed to disputes over the historical role of the UPA and the stripping of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Order of the White Eagle.
1.8 % of respondents reported an improved attitude, while 60.7 % believe recent events have not affected their views. 3.9 % had no opinion. The worsening attitude is most common among supporters of opposition parties (45%), those not participating in elections (36%), and voters of «Law and Justice» (56%) and Szymon Hołownia (74%).
Among those whose attitudes remained unchanged, voters of the ruling coalition (80%), people with left-wing views (80%) who voted for «New Left» (87%), Adrian Zandberg (100 %), or Rafał Trzaskowski (84 %) predominated. Previously, 59.7 % of Poles opposed Ukraine's EU accession, and over a third believed stripping Zelenskyy's order would strengthen Poland's position.
