Bus with Ukrainians Crashes in Bulgaria: 2 Dead, 16 Injured
A bus carrying Ukrainians crashed in Bulgaria near the Turkish border, resulting in two deaths and 16 injuries. The bus rolled backward after stopping due to lack of fuel, hitting people. The driver was detained, and an investigation is ongoing.
In Bulgaria, two Ukrainians died and at least 16 were injured in a bus accident near the border with Turkey. The incident occurred on the Burgas – Malko Tarnovo road, near a checkpoint.
According to preliminary information, the bus, carrying 37 passengers and two drivers, all Ukrainian citizens, stopped due to running out of fuel. When passengers exited, the bus unexpectedly rolled backward, hitting a group of people, and stopped in a ditch. Two passengers died, and 16 were injured, some seriously. Six injured were taken to hospitals in Burgas, and ten to an emergency center in Malko Tarnovo. The remaining passengers were accommodated in a center in the border town.
The bus was en route to Turkey. The driver has been detained, and an investigation is underway.
