A powerful explosion occurred in Monaco on June 29, shortly before 9:00 PM, in a residential building on Rue Révérend-Père-Louis-Frolla, near the French border. Three members of a Ukrainian family were injured: parents aged 50–60 and a 13-year-old teenager.
According to sources from «Ukrainska Pravda» and French media, one of the injured is Dnipro businessman Vadym Yermolayev. He and his wife are in critical condition and have been hospitalized at Pasteur Hospital in Nice. The 13-year-old teenager, whose condition is assessed as moderate, was taken to Lenval Children's Hospital.
CCTV cameras recorded a man leaving a backpack in front of the building's entrance and fleeing. Monaco prosecutor Thibault Stephan confirmed the critical condition of two victims. Monaco's Head of Government, Christophe Mirman, called the incident a probable terrorist attack, noting that the explosive device was packed with bolts and metal shot. Sappers, forensic experts, and police are working at the scene.
Vadym Yermolayev is the founder of the «Alef» corporation and a developer in Dnipro. He previously renounced Ukrainian citizenship in favor of Cypriot. In December 2023, the National Security and Defense Council imposed sanctions against him for his alcohol business activities in occupied Crimea and tax payments to the Russian budget. Yermolayev was also featured in the «Monaco Battalion» investigation.
