Poland Detains 9 Ukrainians and 2 Belarusians Recruited by Russia for Organizing Rallies

Poland has detained 9 Ukrainian and 2 Belarusian citizens suspected of recruiting Ukrainian refugees for paid participation in rallies. According to special services, they acted on instructions and funding from Russia. The detainees will be expelled from the country.

Poland has detained and will deport nine Ukrainian citizens and two Belarusian citizens. According to Polish special services, these individuals recruited Ukrainians for paid participation in rallies, acting on instructions from the Russian Federation.

This was announced by Tomasz Siemoniak, the Minister-Coordinator of Special Services. He noted that officers of the Polish Internal Security Agency, in cooperation with the Border Guard, carried out these arrests. The detainees will be immediately expelled from the country.

According to Siemoniak, since autumn 2025, these individuals have been recruiting and paying for participation in demonstrations organized among Ukrainian refugees in Poland. The Polish Internal Security Agency determined that the initiative and funding for these activities originated from Russia. These actions are classified as an attempt to influence Ukrainian migrants in Poland. The minister did not specify which demonstrations were in question.

It was previously reported that Ukrainian refugees in Poland have become a tool for Russia in its hybrid war against NATO. Also, in May, Spain extradited a Ukrainian suspected of espionage for Russia to Germany.
