Ireland Forecasts 25-Degree Temperatures, Potential Heat Dome Next Week

Ireland is set for temperatures up to 25 degrees Celsius next week, with dry conditions over the weekend. Met Éireann forecasts heavy showers and potential thunderstorms for Monday. A heat dome may re-emerge in Europe, but its impact on Ireland remains uncertain.

Ireland is anticipating temperatures up to 25 degrees Celsius in the coming week, with predominantly dry conditions expected through the weekend. Met Éireann's forecast indicates Saturday will be dry with extended clear periods, though overnight will see the formation of mist and fog patches.

Sunday morning will experience the clearing of mist and fog, leading to a dry day with sunny spells and peak temperatures ranging from 17 to 23 degrees. A few light showers are possible near northern coasts on Sunday night; otherwise, the forecast remains dry with prolonged clear periods and mild temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees, accompanied by a light easterly or variable breeze.

Monday's forecast from Met Éireann predicts dry weather with a combination of cloud and sunny intervals. However, heavy showers are expected to move in from the south, primarily impacting Leinster and Munster, with a possibility of extending further north. Thunderstorms are also a potential occurrence. These heavy showers will dissipate eastwards early Monday night, transitioning to largely dry conditions. Cloud cover will increase across most regions on Tuesday, with isolated patchy rain or drizzle possible in the northwest.

The warmest and sunniest conditions on Tuesday will be in the east and southeast, where temperatures could reach 21 to 25 degrees. The rest of the country is expected to be cooler, with maximum temperatures between 15 and 20 degrees. Met Éireann also notes the potential re-emergence of a heat dome in Europe next week, similar to one observed in late May, though there is current uncertainty regarding its specific impact on Ireland's weather later in the week.
