Irish management consultancies increased prices by 22% in Q1 2026. The overall Services Producer Price Index rose 1.3% annually, but the sector shrank in April due to economic uncertainty and rising costs.
Irish management consultancy firms increased their service charges by 22 percent in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, according to the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
The overall Services Producer Price Index (SPPI), which measures prices charged by service businesses to other businesses and consumers, rose by 1.3 percent in the 12 months ending March 2026. However, SPPI prices fell by 2.3 percent in Q1 2026 compared to Q4 2025.
Travel services prices, including tour operators and travel agencies, jumped 14.2 percent over the same period. Conversely, telecommunications services saw the largest decreases, with average prices falling 10.7 percent, and warehousing and transportation prices dropped 5.9 percent over 12 months.
Ireland’s services sector shrank in April, as indicated by AIB’s purchasing managers’ index. Economic uncertainty, higher fuel, freight, and energy costs, along with geopolitical tensions and Middle East supply chain disruptions, contributed to this downturn and weak demand.
