Serhiy Osherovsky, a figure from the «Monaco Battalion», has been extradited from Romania to Ukraine. He is suspected of extorting $1 million or 15 Bitcoin. The court ordered his detention without the right to bail.

Serhiy Osherovsky, suspected of extorting $1 million, has been extradited from Romania to Ukraine. The Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office confirmed the handover of the suspect, who was sought at the request of the Pechersk District Prosecutor's Office in Kyiv.

According to the prosecution, the suspect extorted money from the victim by threatening violence against him and his family members, which falls under Part 4 of Article 189 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Although the prosecutor's office did not name the suspect, sources from «Ukrainska Pravda» within law enforcement confirmed that it is Serhiy Osherovsky, known as a figure in «Ukrainska Pravda's» report titled «Monaco Battalion».

Pre-trial investigation established that Osherovsky, along with two accomplices, demanded a non-existent debt of $1 million or its equivalent in 15 Bitcoin from a foreign citizen. One of the accomplices was detained in January 2022 during the transfer of part of the money, while the other two were declared wanted.

Serhiy Osherovsky had been on an international wanted list since October 2022. At that time, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv chose a pre-trial detention measure for him. In November 2025, the suspect was apprehended in Romania, and in April of this year, he was handed over to Ukrainian law enforcement agencies. The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv applied a pre-trial detention measure to Osherovsky without the right to bail.
