European Commission Confirms 21st Sanctions Package Against Russia Ready This Week

The European Commission will finalize the development of the new, 21st package of European Union sanctions against the Russian Federation this week. Subsequently, the proposals will be submitted for approval to the EU Council.

This information was confirmed by the European Commission's chief spokesperson, Paula Pinho, on Monday, June 8, as reported by «European Pravda». She explicitly stated: «Yes, the 21st package of sanctions against Russia will be ready this week».

Earlier, «European Pravda», citing its own sources, reported that the new package would be presented in the first half of June. The head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, announced that the 21st package of sanctions could include measures targeting Russia's military-industrial complex and its «shadow fleet». According to «EP» sources, the approval of the 21st EU sanctions package against Russia is planned by July 15, which is linked to the deadline for updating the «price cap» on Russian oil.
