On April 20, Russian forces carried out a series of drone attacks on Nikopol, Kharkiv, and the Kharkiv region, resulting in two deaths and eleven injuries. Information regarding the consequences of the shelling was reported by Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, the Kharkiv region police, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, and the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
In Nikopol, the enemy attacked the city with an FPV drone. As a result of the strike, two women died: a 77-year-old woman died on the spot, and an 83-year-old victim, hospitalized in critical condition, could not be saved. According to the prosecutor's office, seven more people were injured. Five-story buildings, a private house, and cars were also damaged.
Furthermore, Russian troops struck the city of Bohodukhiv in the Kharkiv region with a drone, hitting a gas station. Three men aged 43, 45, and 64 were injured and hospitalized. A fire broke out at the impact site, and several cars were damaged. In Kharkiv, a drone hit the Osnovianskyi district, where one person is known to have been injured. The consequences of this strike are being clarified.
Police have opened criminal proceedings regarding these war crimes. It is worth noting that earlier, on Monday, Russian occupation forces also launched drone attacks on Pryluky in the Chernihiv region, where there was also an injured person and a fire broke out in the district police department.
