Greenvolt Next to Hire 90 Staff, Doubling Workforce, Amid Expansion
Greenvolt Next will hire 90 new staff over the next 12 months, nearly doubling its workforce to expand operations in Ireland and the UK. This growth is driven by increasing demand for renewable energy solutions and new EU sustainability directives, projecting significant revenue increase by 2029.
Greenvolt Next plans to hire an additional 90 staff over the next 12 months, nearly doubling its current workforce of just over 100 people. This expansion includes 50 new roles at its Waterford base and 40 in its UK operations. The company is also expanding its Waterford headquarters.
Greenvolt Next, part of the Greenvolt Group, specializes in renewable energy solutions for commercial and industrial sectors. The company has developed projects like the Sanofi Waterford solar farm and worked with retailers such as Lidl, Aldi, and Tesco.
In 2025, Greenvolt Next helped reduce customer CO2 emissions by 30,000 tonnes and projects a reduction of over 150,000 tonnes in the next three years. Driven by increasing demand for solar panel installations and battery storage, and new EU corporate sustainability reporting directives, the company anticipates significant revenue growth by 2029. CEO Owen Power stated this investment will enable the company to make renewable energy more accessible across Ireland and the UK.
