Kyiv: 5 dead, 10 injured, 4 rescued in Holosiiv shooting, attacker eliminated
In the Holosiiv district of Kyiv, as a result of the shooting, 5 people died, 10 were injured. During the special operation, 4 hostages were rescued, and the attacker was eliminated. According to "Ukrainska Pravda", he turned out to be Vasylchenkov Dmytro, born in 1968, a native of Moscow.
As a result of the shooting in the Holosiiv district of Kyiv, 5 people died, and another 10 people were hospitalized with injuries and traumas. Four hostages were rescued during a special operation. This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the President, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko reported on the elimination of the attacker who opened fire on civilians. "All circumstances are being clarified. Currently, 5 deaths are known. My condolences to family and friends," Zelenskyy noted. He added that the victims are receiving the necessary medical assistance.
The President expects an prompt investigation into the incident. "Investigators of the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine are working. I instructed the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Head of the National Police of Ukraine to provide the public with all verified information in this case," Zelenskyy said.
According to "Ukrainska Pravda", the identity of the eliminated attacker has been established. He turned out to be Vasylchenkov Dmytro Vasyliovych, born on 21.04.1968, a citizen of Ukraine, born in Moscow. He previously lived in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, and later in the Holosiiv district of Kyiv.
