The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS) has announced the entry into force of changes that lift restrictions on border crossing for women employed in public service.
These changes, as previously announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko, provide for the abolition of border crossing restrictions for all women without exception, regardless of their positions in state authorities, local self-government bodies, state enterprises, and courts.
The amendments to the rules for border crossing, approved by Resolution No. 57, specifically to paragraph 2-14 of these Rules, came into effect today. The government, by Resolution No. 623 dated May 15, 2026, lifted restrictions on women regarding crossing the state border based on relevant decisions on business trips. The SBGS has already begun to apply this norm during border control at checkpoints.
