NATO: US Weapon Procurement for Ukraine via PURL, $5.5 Billion, Will Be «In Full»
NATO General Alexus Grynkewich confirmed that US weapon procurement for Ukraine via PURL, including interceptor missiles, is ongoing. The program has secured nearly $5.5 billion. This is deemed an investment in European security, with funding expected to continue despite concerns.
General Alexus Grynkewich, Commander of NATO's Allied Joint Force Command Europe, stated that the procurement of American weapons and ammunition for Ukraine under the PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) mechanism is ongoing. He assured that all items paid for by allies, including interceptor missiles for air defense systems, are being delivered to Ukraine.
Grynkewich emphasized the critical importance of continuous and predictable support for Ukraine through PURL and other means, calling it an investment in European security. Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva reported that nearly $5.5 billion has been committed to the PURL program. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte remains optimistic about continued funding, despite concerns over the war in the Middle East depleting American stockpiles.
