Donegal-based sportswear brand FitPink Fitness has ceased operations after seven years. The company's founder, Jenny Timoney, announced that the decision to close was made due to falling sales and overall market pressure.

According to Jenny Timoney, the situation was influenced by a number of factors, including increased competition from large online platforms such as Shein and Temu, as well as the rising cost of living, which led to a decrease in the purchasing power of the population. She called it a "perfect storm" that made the business unviable.

FitPink actively developed during the pandemic, when there was a significant surge in demand for sportswear. However, the situation has changed in recent years. Jenny Timoney admitted that she had not received a salary for two years and had invested her own funds to support the company, but further continuation of operations became impossible.

In her farewell address, Jenny Timoney thanked customers across Ireland for their support and expressed regret that current conditions did not allow the FitPink Fitness brand to continue operating.
