Ireland to Experience Warmer Temperatures Up to 23 Degrees by Weekend

Ireland is set to transition from unseasonably cool May weather to significantly warmer and sunnier conditions. Temperatures are expected to rise, reaching up to 23 degrees by Sunday, with settled weather continuing into next week. This marks a notable change after a cooler-than-average May.

Ireland is anticipating a significant shift towards warmer and sunnier weather, replacing the unseasonably cool conditions that have characterized May. Most regions have experienced temperatures at least one degree below the long-term average for the month.

While cool, showery weather is expected to persist for a few more days, a noticeable change is forecast from Wednesday. Winds shifting to the southwest will usher in rising temperatures across Ireland and much of Europe. Met Éireann predicts temperatures reaching up to 18 degrees on Wednesday, followed by unsettled but warm conditions on Thursday and Friday, with highs of 19 degrees.

The upcoming weekend is expected to be drier and sunnier, with high pressure systems dominating. Saturday will see dry weather and temperatures ranging from 15 to 20 degrees. Sunday is forecast to be even warmer, with peak temperatures generally between 19 and 23 degrees nationwide. This period of warmer, more settled weather is projected to extend well into the following week.
