Germany Extradites and Arrests Ukrainian Serhiy N. from Spain on Suspicion of Espionage for Russia

Germany has arrested a Ukrainian citizen, extradited from Spain, on suspicion of espionage for Russia. This was reported by the German prosecutor's office, according to «European Pravda».

The accused, identified only as Serhiy N., was detained in Spain at the end of March and extradited to Germany on Thursday. He is suspected of collecting information about a German drone supplier to Ukraine with the aim of preparing an attack or sabotage. Serhiy N., a 43-year-old from Kharkiv, was detained in a Spanish town near Alicante at Germany's request. Also involved in the case is 45-year-old Romanian citizen Alla S., who was arrested in Germany in North Rhine-Westphalia.

According to the investigation, Serhiy N. systematically collected information about a German drone manufacturing company since December 2025, including covertly filming their facilities. From March, Alla S. allegedly joined the surveillance. She is believed to have found out the entrepreneur's home address, visited it, and secretly photographed the house with her phone. Investigators suggest that the purpose of collecting information was to prepare «further actions against the target,» possibly including physical assault or murder. The detainees have been charged with espionage.

Journalists learned the name of the entrepreneur and the company but are not disclosing them. The man stated that he had been taking security measures for some time, understanding the threats associated with his field of activity. The company initially supplied kamikaze drones to Ukraine, and more recently has been primarily supplying components for UAVs. In early 2025, NATO officially confirmed that Russia had planned an assassination attempt on the CEO of the Rheinmetall concern.
