Russian strikes on Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region on May 12 killed at least six people and injured over a dozen, including a nine-month-old girl who lost a leg. Attacks hit residential areas in Kryvyi Rih and Dubovykivka, prompting President Zelenskyy to call for stronger air defenses.

Russian strikes on Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region on May 12 killed at least six people and injured over a dozen, hitting residential areas and civilian infrastructure with drones, artillery, and guided bombs.

In Kryvyi Rih, a Shahed drone strike on a residential building killed a 43-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman. A nine-month-old girl lost a leg and is hospitalized with severe injuries. President Zelenskyy condemned the strike as «cynical» and without military purpose, calling for stronger Ukrainian air defenses.

Across the wider Dnipropetrovsk region, over 50 attacks occurred in four districts. In the Synelnykove district, a guided aerial bomb strike on the Dubovykivka community killed four people and injured three men aged 37, 48, and 51. Earlier strikes in the Nikopol district injured three civilians (a 61-year-old woman and two men aged 81 and 55) and damaged a private enterprise, a school, a shop, residential buildings, outbuildings, and over a dozen vehicles. In the Kamianske district, a strike in Krynychky injured a 24-year-old man and damaged a fuel station and vehicles.
